| I work with a wide demographic of amateur and professional golfers as well as Major League Baseball players. You may not think that these sports have much in common but the mechanics of the golf swing and batting are almost identical. One of the key common components in both sports - they require a tremendous amount of balance. Working with professional athletes is a lot of fun as they are open for almost anything, but my true joy is helping the average golfer (just like me) perform better on the course and feel better off the course. This week we will focus on the topic of balance, the first week offering a simple series of balancing exercises while next week our program includes balance and hip opening exercises in one. Golf Benefits Of Better Balance: - Greater sense of body awareness - Facilitates sense of being grounded and balanced in the address position - Facilitates more fluidity during the dynamic phase of the swing - Develops awareness of weight transfer - Balanced finish position with 90% of your weight on your left side.
